Veronica Pecchioli is a 27-year-old Test and Validation Engineer at Leonardo, working in the Cyber & Security Solutions Division. With a Second Degree Laurea in Telecommunications Engineering from the Università degli Studi di Firenze, she has always been passionate about the technology behind communication systems that keep people safe during critical situations.

Veronica started her career at Leonardo in software development, focusing on hybrid mission-critical communication networks. She designed and implemented a decision-making algorithm enabling the automatic selection of the optimal mobile radio carrier in hybrid networks ensuring smooth and reliable communication between operational centres and field teams.

Today, Veronica’s work revolves around ensuring these advanced systems are reliable and perform exactly as expected. She plays a hands-on role in designing and running detailed tests for communication solutions, collaborating closely with development teams to deeply understand how every part of the system works. Her attention to detail helps ensure each component functions perfectly on its own and integrates seamlessly with the rest of the system.

Her work contributes significantly to the development of Leonardo’s Next Generation mission-critical solutions -a suite of secure, resilient technologies designed to support emergency services, public safety teams, utilities, and homeland security organizations.

What drives Veronica is her commitment to making systems more efficient and reliable. She’s particularly focused on integrating automation into testing processes, believing it’s the key to delivering consistent, accurate, and robust results. This approach not only improves the quality of the products but also speeds up development, helping critical solutions get to the people who need them faster.
