Sara Olsson

Sara Olsson is a project manager and strategic advisor at the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB), where she oversees the development and implementation of next-generation critical communications systems. She is a key contributor to the Swedish Emergency Network (SWEN) initiative, which aims to replace the current nationwide TETRA-based network with a mission-critical broadband service tailored for public protection and disaster relief (PPDR) users. Additionally, Sara is actively involved in driving research and innovation in the field of mission-critical communications.
Before joining MSB in 2016, Sara built a 20-year career in the private IT industry, where she worked on a wide range of IT projects for both private and public sector clients. Her experience spans everything from mobile application development to large-scale systems and includes diverse solutions across different types of organizations.
Sara holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Gothenburg, providing her with a strong foundation in technical principles and system development.
