Magnus Packendorff, Head of Ericsson Mission Critical Networks with global responsibility for Ericsson activities towards the critical communication market is a business and operational oriented manager with an extensive technical and international experience from living abroad working with customers and governmental organizations from all corners of the world such as US, Australia, Korea, Japan, Nigeria, Romania, Germany and Brazil.
His main area of responsibility and task for the last +30 years have been Mission Critical Communication for Blue light and Military users mixed with IT operation, business development and sales. In the late 80th he was part of the pioneering using mobile data for Nordic first responders using Mobitex technology that later became the foundation for modern packet data standards like CDPD, GPRS, WCDMA and now 3G 4G 5G.
His background as technical officer mixed with many years working with Product mgmt. R&D, Line and Project management gives him a solid and broad foundation to execute from.
His key strengths are his ability to communicate and get the “message thru”, his large portion of common sense and his recognition as a fair and straight forward leader. People in his surrounding get things done and often with a smile on their faces.
