Hans Petter Naper
Hans Petter Naper has been with the Norwegian Directorate for Civil Protection (DSB), Department for Public Safety Communications, for twelve years. He earned his engineering master's degree at NTNU, the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, and has worked in the field of mobile telecommunications since the early 1990s. Naper has experience from both the industry and network operators and spent 10 years in North American as well as ETSI and 3GPP committees creating mobile technology standards. As chief engineer, he has a central role in DSB's team working on the broadband solution that shall eventually replace Norway's Nødnett TETRA network. Naper represents DSB in the TCCA Critical Communications Broadband Group and is the chair of CCBG's Mission Critical Broadband Callout Task Force.
