Elina Avela
Ms. Elina Avela’s career in Critical Communication dates back to 1991 when she started at Nokia. In the early TETRA years since 1995, she was among the small group of employees who started to ramp up the business globally. Since then she worked for over 16 years in various Project Management, Product Management and Global Sales Support positions at Nokia and EADS (later Airbus).
Joining 2007 the software company Beaconsim which develops and sells simulators for Critical Communication Elina Avela moved into the world of radio users, command and control room operators and virtual networks. During her leadership Beaconsim has expanded its customer base to over 30 countries globally. Nowadays she owns this and two other companies including Roger-GPS together with her husband.
Elina Avela has lived and worked several years in Berlin Germany and Boston US and resides currently in Espoo Finland. She has a MSc in Telecom and Business Administration from Helsinki University of Technology and is also an alumnus of IMD Switzerland.
