Cristina Lumbreras
Cristina Lumbreras is the Technical Director at EENA – the European Emergency Number Association, based in Brussels. She leads the coordination of technical and operational activities, promoting innovation in emergency communications. Her work focuses on the deployment of Next Generation 112 (NG112), advanced caller location, accessibility, and critical communications across different networks.
She represents EENA at ETSI and chairs the ETSI Technical Committee EMTEL, contributing to standards on NG112, public warning systems, real-time text, mobile emergency apps, and IoT. She also co-organises the NG112 interoperability Plugtests.
In addition, she is involved in eCall standardisation at CEN/CENELEC and has participated in numerous EU-funded projects related to emergency communication technologies. Before joining EENA, she worked in public safety ICT at Madrid 112 and in telecom consultancy roles in Spain.
