Bert Bouwers
Bert Bouwers joined Rohill in 1986, and has taken the responsibility of Managing Director Development from 1989 and as Chief Technology Officer from 2008. Bert is responsible for strategy and development of solutions on basis of TETRA and MCX core, access, gateway, dispatch and management components.
Bert has established the TetraNode and 3GPP IWF gateway architecture at the early stages of the development, and has continuously adapted the architecture and design according the latest trends in the IP networking and 4G/5G critical communications industry. The focus on smart software engineering and orientation towards open platforms and interfaces has gained Rohill a reputation of delivering innovative and adaptable solutions. Bert has a profound knowledge of TETRA and MCX standards, contributes on standards development, and has delivered a number of white papers and presentations on the subjects of TETRA-over-IP, Softswitching Technology, IP/MPLS, PMR-over-LTE, MCX Technology, Interworking solutions, and Cyber Security.
