Asif has 24+ years of experience in the wireless industry, and is currently the Head of Certification IoT & Verticals at the Global Certification Forum (GCF) Ltd. He is responsible for the technology roadmap & programme management for various IoT programmes, including deployment of Mission Critical Services (MCS) for Public Safety Operators, Automotive C-V2X, IoT End Product Certification, oneM2M, amongst others. Prior to his consulting career, Asif was in the Chief Technology Office of TELUS Communications, where his responsibilities included Device Strategy, Planning, Development & Realisation. Asif graduated from the University of Waterloo with B.A.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and a Minor in Management Sciences.
