Mobile Tornado launches in Germany with Blickle & Scherer
Mobile Tornado plc has entered the new market of Germany through an exclusive reseller and distribution agreement with Blickle & Scherer, a leading provider of security-critical communications technologies in the federal republic.
The partnership creates significant growth opportunities for Mobile Tornado in Europe’s largest economy and gives public and private sector institutions access to the company’s innovative push-to-talk over cellular (PTToC) and workforce management solutions.
Founded more than 25 years ago, Blickle & Scherer is a market leader in Germany and a trusted partner to well-known brands across industries including manufacturing, healthcare, education and forestry. It is the key supplier of the BOS digital radio indoor communication systems for public emergency and rescue services. It also supplies private digital radio networks for all kinds of critical communications.
A global recycling and environmental services group has become the first company to trial Mobile Tornado’s technologies in Germany.
Andrew McNamara, channel sales manager at Mobile Tornado, said: “We are thrilled to be working with Blickle & Scherer as our chosen partner in Germany, an exciting new market for Mobile Tornado. The roll-out of private 5G networks across Germany means that government and enterprise users can benefit from enhanced data capabilities to increase safety, reduce costs, boost productivity and improve efficiency among their workforces. We believe the time has come for forward-looking organisations across Germany to adopt push-to-talk over cellular for their security-critical communications.”
Dieter Gruber, managing director of Blickle & Scherer, added: “We are delighted to be partnering with Mobile Tornado. The company has a presence across a range of industry sectors and we are confident its push-to-talk and workforce management technology is world-leading. In addition to providing longstanding solutions to our customers, we like to focus on innovation and always think one step further. Around 95 per cent of the world’s population now has access to a mobile broadband network and this growth in mobile networks is bringing in a new era in critical communications and creating new opportunities for PTT technology.”
The news of Mobile Tornado’s expansion into Germany comes just a few weeks after the announcement that Mobile Tornado is expanding its presence in Africa following a strengthening of its partnership with Instacom, a leading provider of critical communications solutions in the continent.
The company’s technologies are available as integrated or standalone solutions.
