Dr. Juergen Tusch is CTO of the European Utilities Telecom Council (EUTC) and founder of Dr. Tusch Consulting, a consulting firm for utility telecommunication and cyber security. He has over 20 years of professional experience in the utility industry and over 40 years in telecommunications. Juergen has been head of telecommunication of Westenergie AG at E.ON for a decade. In this function he was responsible for the development and implementation of telecommunication services to control and manage Germany’s largest power distribution grid. In this context he pioneered the application of LTE 450 MHz services for utilities in Germany. Juergen joined RWE in 2002 and since then he held various management positions in the field of IT infrastructure and telecommunications. Juergen holds a Ph.D degree in Electrical Engineering from RWTH Aachen University.
