Assistant Chief of Police, Operational Policing section, Norwegian National Police Directorate

Henning is Assistant Chief of Police in the National Police Directorate Norway, working with governance of critical communication and command and control centers within the Norwegian police. He is responsible for police-, and national cross-agency emergency communication procedures, and is also involved in cross-border communication projects. Henning is participating in the national project to establish next generation 5G public safety network in Norway. He is appointed by Norwegian Government to represent Norwegian police in the Mission Critical Communications Group (MCCG) under the EU commission. He is also a member of other national and international forums regarding critical communication and cross-border communication.

Henning has been a police officer for 25 years. Before joining the National Police Directorate in 2015, he has experience as i.a. patrolling officer, police driving instructor, crisis- and hostage negotiator, and has held several positions in police command, communication and control centres. Henning was regional project manager during Norwegian Tetra-network (Nødnett) project.
