With a successful CCMENA now complete in Dubai, I am delighted to be writing this ‘launch’ post for TCCA’s Critical Communications World (CCW) event, to be held in the vibrant city of Berlin from 15-17 May 2018. This is the first of the Critical Communications Series to be organised in partnership with MA Exhibitions , and we are looking forward to an exceptional event.

Berlin is renowned for its art and music scene and spectacular architectural landmarks. It’s a fitting city in which to celebrate the 20th anniversary of CCW, which began as the TETRA World Congress - in Berlin. It is also the home city of BDBOS, the German federal public safety network and the largest TETRA network in the world.

Our industry has evolved over those two decades, with critical LTE now on the horizon, and national critical LTE-based services planned in various parts of the world including the US, UK and South Korea. Yet TETRA remains the world’s most popular choice for mission critical communications, and the innovations and plans for the future of the technology will be very much in focus at CCW.

CCW is a centre of excellence for those who make the most impact on critical communications worldwide, and for those who seek to join them in the future. Our role at TCCA is to ensure that the critical communications industry is the best it can possibly be, to drive developments and encourage innovations, underpinned with open standards and interoperable solutions that create a healthy competitive marketplace.

CCW is the showcase for our ecosystem – it is the single most focused event for you, your colleagues and your organisations to learn, share, and debate; to promote the advances in critical communications; to challenge the current and to influence the future.
